Refunds & Cancellations

Studio Matrx is a not-for-profit platform. Contributions are voluntary, and paid features such as Pro Membership and storage add-ons are delivered digitally and instantly. This policy explains when refunds may be issued, how to request one, and how cancellations work.

1. Nature of Payments on Studio Matrx

Studio Matrx is operated by Champions Educational and Medical Society (R), a not-for-profit organisation. The platform is free to use. Payments accepted through the platform fall into the following categories:

Supporter / Patron Contributions — voluntary contributions to help cover the cost of running the platform (AI credits, hosting, infrastructure).
Pro Membership (₹999 / year) — an annual plan that unlocks additional features and tools.
Storage Add-ons (₹499 each) — optional, stackable purchases that add +10 GB of vault storage to an active Pro Membership.

All payments are processed securely through Razorpay in Indian Rupees (INR).

2. General Refund Principle

Because Studio Matrx delivers digital services that are activated instantly upon successful payment — including AI image generation credits, immediate feature unlocks, and storage provisioning — contributions and purchases are generally non-refundable once the payment has been confirmed and the associated benefit has been delivered.

We do, however, recognise that genuine issues can occur. The sections below describe the circumstances under which we will issue a refund.

3. Eligible Refund Scenarios

You may request a refund in the following situations:

Duplicate Payment — if you were charged more than once for the same order due to a technical error.
Failed Activation — if payment was successfully deducted from your account but the corresponding benefit (Pro Membership, Supporter tier, or storage add-on) was not activated within 24 hours.
Unauthorised Transaction — if a payment was made from your account without your consent (please also notify your bank or card issuer immediately).
Service Unavailability — if the platform is unable to deliver a core paid feature for an extended, continuous period (more than 7 days) due to issues on our end.

In each case, please contact us with your payment reference so we can verify and process the request.

4. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

Voluntary Contributions — Supporter and Patron contributions are gifts to help keep the platform running and are, by their nature, non-refundable.
Change of Mind — a decision to no longer use the platform after activation does not qualify for a refund.
Partial Usage — Pro Memberships or storage add-ons that have been partially used (e.g., some credits consumed, some storage used) are non-refundable on a pro-rated basis.
Violation of Terms — accounts suspended or terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service are not eligible for a refund.
Dissatisfaction with AI Outputs — because AI-generated design concepts are indicative and preliminary (as stated in our Terms), subjective dissatisfaction with creative output is not grounds for refund.

5. Cancellation Policy

Pro Membership is an annual, one-time purchase. There is no auto-renewal. Your membership will simply expire at the end of the 365-day period unless you choose to renew manually.
Storage Add-ons are one-time purchases. Once added to your vault, they remain available for the duration of your active Pro Membership.
• You may stop using the platform at any time — no cancellation request is required, and no further charges will occur because we do not operate any recurring-billing subscriptions.
• If you wish to delete your account, please contact support@studiomatrx.org. Account deletion does not automatically entitle you to a refund of past payments.

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please email us at support@studiomatrx.org within 7 days of the disputed payment with the following details:

• Your registered phone number or email
• Razorpay Payment ID or Order ID (found in your payment confirmation)
• Date and amount of the transaction
• A clear description of the issue

We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and investigate it in good faith.

7. Refund Processing Time

If your refund is approved:

• The refund will be initiated through Razorpay to the original payment method used for the transaction.
• Refunds typically reflect in your account within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank, card issuer, or UPI provider.
• Studio Matrx does not offer refunds in cash, cheque, or to a different account than the one used for the original payment.
• You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been initiated.

8. Chargebacks and Disputes

If you believe a payment issue cannot be resolved through our support channels, you may raise a dispute through Razorpay or your card issuer. We request that you first reach out to us directly at support@studiomatrx.org — in most cases we are able to resolve issues quickly without the need for a formal chargeback.

Fraudulent or malicious chargebacks may result in suspension of the associated account.

9. Changes to This Policy

Studio Matrx reserves the right to update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification where appropriate.
