Property Details
Score Each Criterion (0–5)
0 = Non-compliant · 1 = Minimal · 2 = Partial · 3 = Moderate · 4 = Compliant · 5 = Fully Compliant. Each criterion includes the Vastu rule, traditional reasoning, and a remedy if you score low.
Entrance & Orientation
V01 — Main entrance direction(9%)Critical
Main entrance faces North, East, or Northeast.
Why: North (Kubera) invites prosperity; East (Surya) brings vitality. NE is the most auspicious pada position.
V02 — Entrance quality & flow(8%)Important
Door opens inward, has a raised threshold, and the entrance is clutter-free with no shoe rack or dustbin blocking it.
Why: Inward-opening doors welcome energy. Threshold retains positive energy. Clutter blocks the inflow of prosperity.
Kitchen
V03 — Kitchen position in home(6%)Critical
Kitchen is in the Southeast (Agni corner) of the home. Northwest is acceptable.
Why: SE is ruled by Agni (fire god). Cooking is a fire-transformation activity — elemental alignment is strongest here.
V04 — Cooking direction & stove placement(5%)Critical
Cook faces East while cooking. Gas stove / hob is in the SE corner of the kitchen. Sink is in the NE corner.
Why: Facing the rising sun while preparing food infuses meals with positive energy. Stove in fire zone, water in water zone.
V05 — Fire-water separation(3%)Important
Stove and sink are not placed adjacent to each other or directly opposite.
Why: Fire and water are antagonistic elements (Agni vs Jal). Proximity creates conflict energy in the home.
Master Bedroom
V06 — Bedroom position & bed direction(7%)Critical
Master bedroom is in the Southwest quadrant. Bed head points South or West (never North).
Why: SW is the Earth element zone — stability, authority, grounding for the head of household. Head toward North repels Earth's magnetic field.
V07 — Bedroom mirrors & water(3%)Important
No mirror directly faces the bed. No aquarium, fountain, or water feature in the bedroom.
Why: Mirrors reflecting sleepers disturb rest and reflect negative energy. Water creates instability in the earth/rest zone.
V08 — Beam & electronics(3%)Important
No overhead beam directly above the bed. Electronics are minimized or placed in the SE corner of the bedroom.
Why: Beams create downward pressure causing stress and headaches. Electronics emit EMF that disturbs sleep.
Pooja / Sacred Space
V09 — Pooja room position(5%)Critical
Pooja room or dedicated prayer corner is in the Northeast (Ishanya corner) of the home.
Why: NE is ruled by Ishanya (Shiva) — the most sacred zone. It receives the first rays of the sun and holds the highest spiritual energy.
V10 — Prayer direction & sacred integrity(5%)Critical
Devotee faces East or North while praying. No toilet shares a wall with or is directly above/below the pooja room.
Why: East = spiritual light (rising sun). North = prosperity (Kubera). Toilet energy contaminating sacred space is a severe Vastu defect.
Bathroom & Toilet
V11 — Toilet zone placement(6%)Critical
Toilets are in the Northwest, West, or South of the home. Never in the Northeast, Southeast, or center.
Why: NW (Vayu) carries waste away. NE is sacred — waste here desecrates it. SE is fire zone — water/waste clashes. Center is Brahmasthan.
V12 — Toilet-kitchen-pooja isolation(6%)Critical
No toilet is directly above or below the kitchen. No toilet is adjacent to the pooja room.
Why: Waste energy contaminating food preparation or sacred space — considered among the worst Vastu defects for health and spiritual well-being.
Living, Dining & Other Rooms
V13 — Living room placement & furniture(4%)Important
Living room is in the North, Northeast, or East. Heavy furniture (sofa, bookshelf) is placed along South and West walls.
Why: N/NE/E zones receive morning light and prosperity energy. Heavy items in SW quadrant ground the social space — owner sits in authority position.
V14 — Study & workspace orientation(3%)Important
Study or home-office desk faces North or East. The person working does not sit with their back to the door.
Why: North (Kubera) supports financial work. East (Surya) brings clarity. Back to door creates vulnerability and psychological unease.
V15 — Guest room, children's room & dining(3%)Advisory
Guest room is in the Northwest. Children's room is in West or Northwest. Family faces East while dining.
Why: NW (Vayu = movement) ensures guests don't overstay. West enhances focus for children. East-facing dining aids digestion.
Brahmasthan & Spatial Flow
V16 — Center of home (Brahmasthan)(7%)Critical
The center of the home is open, unobstructed, and well-lit. No heavy pillar, wall, staircase, or toilet occupies the exact center.
Why: Brahmasthan is the cosmic navel of the Vastu Purusha. Blocking it causes health problems, financial stagnation, and energy imbalance for all occupants.
V17 — Staircase placement & flow(4%)Important
Staircase is in the South, West, or Southwest. It ascends clockwise. No staircase in the center or Northeast.
Why: Staircase is a heavy structural element — belongs in the Earth (SW) zone. Clockwise ascent aligns with solar energy. Center/NE staircases block sacred and cosmic energy.
Elements & Corrections
V18 — Mirror placement(4%)Important
Mirrors are on North or East walls only. No mirror faces the bed, the main door, or the South wall.
Why: North mirrors double Kubera's wealth energy. South mirrors double Yama's negativity. Mirrors facing doors bounce incoming positive energy away.
V19 — Water features & placement(3%)Important
Indoor water features (aquarium, fountain, urli) are placed only in the Northeast. No water features in bedrooms.
Why: NE is the water element (Jal) zone. Water here enhances clarity and prosperity. Water in bedrooms creates instability in the rest/earth zone.
V20 — Vastu color alignment(3%)Advisory
Room colors respect directional energy: warm tones (orange, earthy) in SE/S, cool tones (white, cream, blue) in NE/N, earthy tones (brown, beige) in SW.
Why: Colors reinforce elemental energy — fire colors in fire zones, water/purity colors in sacred zones, earth colors in stability zones.
V21 — Plants, windows & natural light(3%)Important
All indoor plants are alive and healthy — no dead, dried, or thorny plants (cactus) inside. Tulsi in N/E/NE. Windows maximize North and East light.
Why: Dead plants represent decay and attract negative energy. Thorns create hostile energy. N/E windows bring auspicious morning light.
